Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Guess it was PRT
My email
subject: ;)
It feels great!
...and chatted this morning. He's happy to be back "home" in Sasebo.
what is RPT?
Got a text last night when they were still out to sea that said "almost back." Then saw the email from the ombudsman.
EAWS study guide for the Navy Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist program.
One of Katie's corpsman friends told her she should go for that next - that it was easier, at least that is what she thought.
Paper work coming along for Kayo?
I received the news from the ombudsman about the Essex homecoming.
Congrats to Katie and Hans. Jonathan transferred to another LHD so he didn't need to redo the ESWS. I learned the ESWS is a big deal on their resume if they leave the navy. Also, it is the biggest piece of bling on their uniform. LOL. He is now working on the air surface warfare. I have no idea what it is.
Happy birthday to the December birthdays and welcome home USS Essex.
Mary - I was thinking that you should be having a countdown. So glad that you will be seeing Jesse soon.
Here RPT is coming up before those start going on leave.
Katie said she would CALL this weekend between duty on Friday, Satturday dinner with a few friends for a going away and then later with a group of my guy friends to go celebrate!!!
hi Mary - I can't read that poem without crying. It's beautiful though. WOOOHOOOO and let the countdown begin! You must be on cloud 9!!! Excited for you!! HA...that's funny you heard Josh!! I haven't heard from him yet :-(
Found that Christmas poem floating around on facebook. Someone sent it to Jesse and he said he posted it on the shop door. So excited to see him, one week from Friday on Dec. 16th!!!!! Haven't seen him for a year, and 10 days isn't long enough, but I'll take it! Talked to him Monday about 11pm Cleveland time (I could hear a lot of them all on the phone talking to people), and he sounded good. He has been working hard (getting about 4 hours a sleep per day), but he is really getting good at his job and sounds more confident about his work. so damn proud of that kid! When I was on the phone with Jes, I heard cathyo's son, "Ox" say, "hey, is that your mom? tell her I said hi" LOL
Man! I wish my sailor would call. I hope Thomas was one of Chucks buddies that did this with him and I hope they post a video also. Great idea with the "cookie reward"! I need to call you and let you fill me in on whats up lately with the boys.
And I love the Sailor Christmas posted below, thank you for sharing!
