thanks miss annie-it is a glorious sunny day here but my heart just breaks seeing the families evacuating. so please clear up the mystery....shore command is shore duty right?  now i get it...or maybe not?

Aww Mimi ... it's gonna be ok.  I am on the "other side" of this from most of you, and can tell you that they will be home before you know it.  Hang in there!  ((((HUGS))))

@Connie - glad you are dodging the weather out there   :)

@sharon - shore duty is hard to beat - I know Derrick loved it when he had it in San Diego.

awww Mimi-here's a big ol' hug for you Honey.  when my sailor left here on tuesday i was almost a sobbing blubbering mess myself...and i barely held it together!!!

sharon-i did a search on shore command but that term brought up all kinds of stuff and nothing that seemed to make any sense.

any my username is actually in honor of the great WW2 airplane the Memphis Belle. my uncle who served in the Tn. Air National Guard hauled all over the place....Memphis just couldn't seem to get their act together on what to do with it exactly. it is now in Ohio undergoing restoration. i live right outside of memphis.  i checked your page and see you are on the Gulf just across the bay from where we dream of retiring...in Fairhope. spent many summers at Orange Beach!!

we were spared any tornado damage but right now Memphis is flooding and evacuations are taking place.  thankfully again we are spared.

thanks Colleen....oh my on the deployment and i really should have figured that one out myself given the times we live in....airwing?  you are going to laugh but i don't have a clue.  that's one term i've heard but didn't research.  he's an ATI and will finish C school in Sept. and we have been told to expect that he will sent out to join the Bush ASAP. here once again Mommas if i have posted too much info please let me know.
