Seems as though my son has lost a lot of weight from the pictures he texted.  He needed it though, PT isn't his one of his favorite past times.  He assured me that he was more relaxed after dinner with drinks too.  I know the close quarters isn't easy on any of them.

I hope your sailors reached out with a "Hi Mom" while in port. Glad they go off the boat...:0

Sending a package today, I don't get to detailed on the custom form either.....my sailor has lost a ton of weight, almost 30 lbs, puts him about 132,  so he really can't lose anymore weight...so I packed tons of protein and carbs...told him to drink a lot of beer while in port, when he called he had a maragarita, that works too....lol

Momof5, so glad you finally heard from your sailor and have his box number. When my sailor was on the RR it seems like it took a while to get his email also, not sure why.
Got a message from my sailor this morning saying all is good and finally got to get of the ship go to dinner and sight see.

Finally heard from my sailor.  Apparently he hasn't been issued an email address yet, thus the reason for not emailing his mom.  Strange, but I won't argue that.  Did finally get the correct box #  too, so I'm all set.  And just in time, patience was never my best quality :).  He and some of his buddies had had dinner and he was gift shopping for his sisters.

Good morning everyone. I'm heading to the post office this morning to send off two boxes. For the contents, I usually just write snacks, clothing, hygiene items. Haven't had any problems (yet).
BeachBunny, took a tip from you and went to world market for smoked salmon, cheese and crackers. His birthday is coming up so I put a little note with it saying this will have to do for birthday dinner until we can go to his favorite fish restaurant in San Diago.
No phone call for me ☹️ He hasn't called the whole time he's been gone but is sending messages from the ships computer so at least we have some communication.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

So glad to hear they are still recieving packages.
I will be sending another one out on Monday.
Momof5. I usually follow the same listbas Jojo1976 and never have a problem. Writing less is best.
Beachbunny, glad you got to chat with your sailor.

Hi I don't list specifics and it always goes through I just put snacks, personal hygenie, books etc...

Making out my customs declaration for care package and was wondering how you other moms list your contents in "detailed description of contents" box.  I've put a brief description before such as "food, paper products" but know it's frowned upon.  Just not enough space to list it all without using additional forms.  I did bring a hand full home, along with a few boxes, so I didn't have to stand in the post office and fill them out.  Wondered if any of you have had problems not listing items specifically.
