Lisa in AZ....thanks for the info again. We are not going until the first 2 weeks of March so can't wait to hear about your trip and tips. Our sailor emailed the names of a couple hotels outside the gate but said they are really expensive and that he was working on something else. I did not have time today to checkout the Navy Lodge further but will soon.

HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP!

Lynda...I did not mean to cause you any bad feelings for giving me the information. Honestly. I appreciated your info. I will not do anyting rash. But will get off my a... and start looking into things more rather than wait on my sailor to find things out. Really Thanks for the info.

Lynda...thanks for the info. Does not sound to accommodating for families to visit their sailors in Japan. That is stressful information. Going to another country hoping to be able to stay 2 weeks at Navy Lodge but not knowing is making me want to cancel my plans. I would hate to have to stay 72 hrs., leave, take all the luggage to somewhere else, to do it again. wow...I don't know about this trip after all. But thanks for that information. Going to have to check into refund on air tickets that I paid for 2 months ago.

Question: When you stay at the Navy Lodge on base, what is involved in coming and going? I assume it is on the base and you have to go thru gates. Does that mean my husband and I can't come and go unless our sailor is with us? We will be there for 2 weeks and I don't believe our sailor can get the entire 2 weeks off so we will be on our own part of the time. Any help would be appreciated. Even how or who to contact to find out. Thanks

Paula, I am so excited for you to be there in Japan! I know Erica must be thrilled. So wish I was there alongside. Enjoy every minute. My sailor is Anthony in Interior Communications. So many sailors but if chance arises please say hello from me. I am so proud for you and Erica. Give Erica a hug!

Paula....have a wonderful trip. You are so lucky to be there for the Christmas Party. Can't wait to hear about it.

We heard from our sailor on Thanksgiving Day. We were at his grandparents so he got to talk to them also. Nice to hear from them on a holiday especially.

Hello ladies, I have been focused elsewhere for awhile. It is great to have the site to keep up with things. Any suggestions on just fun, thinking of you, kinds of items to send for Christmas? There were great suggestions for Halloween, just want to get some good ideas from everyone. Thanks.

Ah...missed a call on SKYPE early morning (CA time). It was followed up by an email. Told us what he was going to be doing but did not say if they were there yet! No really can't give you all any info more than we heard from him. LOL Hope someone else might have heard by now.
