OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Pam, I am so sorry to hear about your dogs. As a family that always had pets of all kinds but always a good dog I know that lost that you and your hubby are going through. And for TJ to have to deal with it away from home is hard. But I am sure he has a few good buddies that will be there for him. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Aaron has been gone only 48 hours and my heart is so empty. My husband said last night that he was going to strip Aaron's bed and wash the sheets and pick up his room to help me out. I was like " DONT TOUCH ANYTHING I WILL DO IT WHEN I AM READY." I stand in the door way and just look how he left it and think of all the good times we had in such a short time. Is anyone else like that??? Oh and talk about eatting a lot Aaron put on 12 lbs while he was home and looked really good when he left. Next year I will get a skinny, pale home sick boy again and I will start mega cooking all over again. I MISS HIM !!!!

Thanks Chris for forwarding the messages from Lucille about Ruben. It is great to hear that Ruben will be coming back to the states soon :) I'm sure it is going to be some relief for Lucille.

Hi my name is Dawn and my son, Cecilia's son-in-law, is in Atsugi. He picked up a new Sailor this past weekend, didn't say his name, but he is from the Bronx, NY. Daniel said Tristan, the grandson, and this new Sailor became good friends...lol Apparently Tristan took a liking to him. I don't know if this Sailor's mom is on here but if it sounds like your son, he was in good hands.

Thanks for the great picture of the cherry blossoms! It was funny, when Michael was home last month he wanted to go to San Francisco Japanese Tea Gardens in Golden Gate Park! Like he didn't see the "real" thing where he is. LOL
