Has anyone used SKYPE to talk to their sailors over in Japan? We recently got the camera/microphone and downloaded Skpye (free). Thanksgiving was the first time we used it and it was awsome. Being able to see Michael when we talk was wonderful. He could see both his Dad and me and we use to wrestle (all 3 of us) and while we were talking his Dad told him to watch as he tackled me on the bed. Michael could see us and started laughing. Good to hear him laugh. Anyway, was reading about the Majic Jack and apologize if Skype has been discussed here before but I just love it and can't wait for my son to surface and call me.

Thanks all. I think maybe I should drop my last name from when I signed on. So, if I can figure out how to do it, I will be know as Karyn in the future. I was able to read all "6" pages of comments on my son's group. LOL I think it will take me some time to get caught up on the G-Dub group! Michael is loving Japan. He felt like it took forever to get the Japan billet. Can't wait to go visit ourselves. Thanks for the greetings.

Hello all. My step-son is a sailor on board the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON. I just learned of the site and wished I had known sooner so I could follow along as the went to Japan. But better late than never! LOL I also have a son who is a submariner on board the USS ALEXANDRIA. I will be checking in from time to time.

Have you heard about the "Blue Candle Lighting" being scheduled on Christmas Day? It is a way to honor those Sailors that will not be home for Christmas. What a nice tribute to our Sailors!

Please go to Events and click on Blue Candle Lighting, we are tracking how many candles will be lit in our Sailors' honor and where you are located.

Let's do this in our "Navy for Moms" style - can we get 9000 plus candles lit on Christmas Day?!!
