FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son sent this to me today.

Thanks for the package.. The candy was a big hit, especially with my chief. He ate most of it. Thanks again! It really made my day!

 

It is so nice to know that they can receive packages when deployed.

Nicksmum, I love the picture of our sailors.  It was nice to share with his brothers.

111010-N-MW330-115 OKINAWA, Japan (Oct. 10, 2011) Information Systems Technicians James Kowalski and Damage Controlman Nicolas Beaudry hang the hose of desmoking equipment in a dark space as part of basic damage control training during command indoctrination aboard the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42). My sailor called us from a friends phone this past weekend. Was wonderful to hear his voice. It was 2am there for them and they were on patrol/watch. He sounded good. They really seemed to like the launching of the little boats (exercises with the marines. If you go to the USS germantown site and then like the Amphibious sqaudron page they post a lot of pics. Cory was in two of them. One he was listed by name. There are some spectacular photos in there!!!
