Joy, thanks so much for that info.  I searched for them early yesterday on fb and it wasn't up yet.  I'm glad you let us know!

marinewifenavymom - I love it, it's going up at my desk at work.  Great reminder on how to live!

Ladies, I'm not sure how many of you have a Facebook account...however, USS Gridley (DDG 101) is underway there as of yesterday.  The page is under "governmental organization".

I rarely hear from my son, maybe an email every 2-3 weeks. Last time, he said he was always busy and tired, sleeping  few hours a day. That's all

Greetings

Had some contact this morning.  Things are changing on the ship/rules are different.  Bored, but fine.  I think they're getting tired of the water! lol

Hey 10-10Mom, I haven't heard a thing from my daughter.  I have sent my normal emails with a "read receipt" and I know that she has picked a few up and I noticed that she updated her fb a little.  It's like they've just dropped off the raidar.  I know that they are all fine, I just miss the contact with her.  I'll let you know if I hear anything if you'll do the same!

Ahhhhh, got to talk to her at 11:30 last night, a great 20 min conversation.  She sounded great.  They've been working very hard, not much time to do much.  It was great hearing her voice!

Christine, I had emails yesterday, but haven't had anything today.  Hopefully we'll start getting calls since they are in Port!
