I think it's probably a "timing" deal ...with the emails .... Mine has problems sleeping... So he may get access while others are sleeping....
Karen...glad you said that about buying the phone cards.... Guess I will let him buy them in port. I also need to find out about packing parties.... Surely our chapter does them.

Mary, not sure if he got any of your son's deer jerky... I've been sending him store bought jerky... Trying to get deer jerky from friends.... Right now I am working on buying and wrapping 21 gifts and cards to send to him.... He will turn 21 on April 2!
Hope everyone is well.... I applied for my passport today.... One less thing to worry about... I had thought about going to Canada ...to see Niagra falls when I go to manhattan next month.... Maybe if passport gets here in time!

Please pass on the recipe for hamburger jerky.  Sounds interesting and maybe we'll make a batch and send it their way.  Thanks ahead of time.

Navy mom.... I talked with mine this am.... He too loves jerky....he asked for deer jerky.... So I will be calling on all my hunter friends! He also said to keep sending individual pkgs of mac n cheese, and cheese nips. I asked him if all the sailors are getting packages.... He said yes.... Not to worry, and just keep sending him plenty, and he will keep sharing! That made me feel better. Guessing they will be rolling....if we don't get phone calls. I keep praying for
peace ..... I will be sending a package thurs or Monday, as I just sent him one Tues. I'm rambling, so I will say good nite... Hope you have peace at your office! That sounds like a good deal on the calling cards! Take care!

Got to talk to son again today.... Trying to get his blackberry up with international sim prepaid card.... He will share his phone, if he gets it up and running! Somebody's husband let him call me quickly to get important info... So thanks to all you wifes!!! That is a goo idea to send international phone cards... I will try to send a few extra with some jerky and candy....in a care bag that mine can give to someone in need!
jessi...I can only imagine how excited your son was to see his daddy!! Skype is the best ever!!
I've been doing good... We went to bass classic in new Orleans today, then the big horse race at fairgrounds! Talked to Son on the way down... So my day was complete!
Hope everyone is well... And have a good week end!
