I heard from my hubby this morning at 2:30am. Isnt that just so sweet of him? Said that he would be able to call soon! It will be nice to finally get to hear his voice....I joke with my husband and tell him I think I just married his voice bc thats what it seems like....

Heard from mine on Thursday. Several short emails. All seemed to be well.
I think some sailors have more access to email than others.... Maybe the job, timing, or they just too tired to wait for a computer.... Mine has problems sleeping sometimes.... So I think that's why I hear from him more.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

IFC wife... Where are y'all from in Louisiana? We are in Baton Rouge. I'm gonna have to look and see what y'all are doing with these mason jars.

I heard from mine today. He signed up for a fishing trip and a snorkeling trip.... Sounds like they might b headed to a port!!!

Btw..... I am going to get a passport.... Hopefully I will only need it for fun trips!
A friend of mine that travels all over the world... Told me I should get one, just in case I needed to get on a plane in a hurry to be with mine! So... Something to think about.

Roni... Love how he NEEDS these cookies!! I am working on a large order to ship to all the crew.... Will let y'all know how many I end up sending! mine also gave me an order of cookies!

Everyone.... Take care!

Roni- Try to send them in the flat rate postal boxes. no matter how much it weights it ships for like $12 something I think. That's how we would have done my husbands stuff but he had 2 40lbs packages, so that wasnt really an option.

Southngal, I use my mason jars for the same thing. We can't live without sweet tea. Were both from southern Louisiana and were raised on the stuff. But I suppose I could go out and buy more to learn how to make the jar cakes. And if all else fails and I can't figure it out tha'ts just more sweet tea glasses.

I will let you guys know when I try it later this week.  If any of you get around to it before me, I'd sure like to know how it went for you!!

1 month and 3 days before we leave San Diego and head over to Florida!!

Ran across a very cool idea. Think I may start practicing so that when my husband joins the ship I will hopefully have the process perfected.

If any of you have done anything similar I would love if you would share.

southngal: I am only assuming because he recently told me that he saved his first boat, and he is a driver of one of a shims and I think this is their 1st boat save they have had. But see once family sees it I don't have to explain just brag.
