My son is returning on the Truman today. Does anyone know of a LIVE STREAM available to watch remotely? I was unable to be there in person. Thanks.

Good MORNING!!  I'm so happy for all you moms who finally get to be reunited with your sailors.  My sailor came home about 2 weeks ago(quickest 2 weeks of my life I might add) and is now back and working on the docks.  Still would love to be there just to be a part of this exciting time.  So if you see a guard named Johnny give him a hug for me.  <3    Thank you God for their safe return.

PS.  Thanks BNukes, and all the people here for the support and uplifting words when I needed to read them most!  I'm very glad to have found this group.  :)

Thanks. This is my first time. I have another son that was on the Roosevelt but they returned to San Deigo at the end of the year, and I was unable to attend, so I'm so excited I could make it for my baby boy. I found the FRG site on Facebook and got the info but thanks for the help.

Hi smld, I can't sleep either- even though we aren't in Norfolk this homecoming (we went to the last one in 2014).  I'm so excited to hear from our son and watch the live feed!  You will need a picture ID matching the name on the list to get on base.  A lot of people came really early when we were there but the lines at the gate went pretty fast (lots of people working there).  Best of luck- it will be AMAZING!

Hello everyone that made it here to Norfolk to welcome our sailors home. We got in yesterday but I'm so anxious I still can't sleep!!! I'm wide eyed and bushy tailed right now awaiting the moment I can spring out of this hotel and get to that pier. Does anyone know if we are to just give our names at the gate for entrance? My son said he put us on the list on the ship when asked about visitors that were coming.
