Our news just confirmed there are 14 dead & 14 wounded....so sad :(  College son's school is about 8 miles from where the shooting was but they were not on any type of lockdown.  The school just advised students to avoid that area.

Yeah I figured re the pics, just not sure my sailor son wants me to post stuff. He hates any attention drawn to him. (Unless HE initiates the attention LOL)

Yes, heard and watching the news. So sad and frightening..hope they get the shooter(s).

Lora - the HST FB page is an open group - if they are posting pictures you should be able to post them too.  It is good that you are being cautious but anyone can see what they post on that page (& they only put things out after the fact there).

My day started out well but then there was a shooting in San Bernardino - about 15-20 minutes from where I work.  The shooters (possibly 3) are still at large - over 20 confirmed injured & they say there are fatalities.....been going on for a couple of hours now.  Senseless violence....I just don't get it.

Very good reminder B'sNukeMom! Thank you! I was going to "share" some of the pics from the HST Facebook page but thought maybe I shouldn't...overcautious I guess. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday.

Jacobmom - glad sailor son & his fiancé had fun at Epcot.  We went once - sailor was 3 months old!  Funny he doesn't remember it lol!

As we are getting more people checking in with this deployment I just want to remind everyone to be careful what we post (no problems with anyone so far, just being cautious!).

The safety of our sailors must always be our #1 priority!

Oh! Wanted to check- my sailor is an ET - radar tech. Is there anyone else on here? He says there are only 4 of them so my chances are slim I know.

Hi all! Love hearing most of you are getting calls or emails! I spoiled I get to text every night for two more month anyway. Seems I've been keeping him updated on the ship, sending him navy times links.
I know I'm behind a bit on welcoming all the new people! But welcome anyway!
I had 22 people in my small home for Thankagiving. Even with that I missed both my boys. I got texts from both of them at least. Paramedic son in SC was working and sailor son and his fiancé went to Epcot. I've been working on decking the halls since, and still don't have the tree decorated yet! It's up with lights but no ornaments. That's tonight project with the kiddos.

BNuke- I have to vote for blue and white. Blue and gold in my neck of the woods means Notre Dame!

Hugs and prayers and fingers crossed for calls and emails to all!
