Carrie yes my daughter is very humble.

Sounds like those of us coming to the night before event will be wearing a yellow scarf. I don't have one but I will either borrow one or wear a streamer around my neck.i am planning on being at the event around 4. I am staying with my son in law in virginia beach. Family that is coming with us is staying at Extended Stay America. Can't wait to meet you all on Thursday

I don't post a lot, but I always read everyone else's post. Just wanted to say how excited I am for all of us that our homecoming day is almost here! Can't wait to see those smiling faces! I will we could know which face belongs to those of you who can't be there when the ship comes home so we could hug them for you. But your happy dance day will just be a little bit later when you see them get off of those planes! Prayers for safe travels for everyone!

Hello everyone, so happy to read all of the post. So excited for those attending the homecoming. We will not be going my daughter want to fly home the same day the ship comes in. Please take lots of pictures. I wish I could be there. My daughter has no one to greet her when they arrive. She chose for us not to be there because she want to fly home immediately. We will be having homecoming at the airport. I have our flags and banners ready to go. Can someone explain the yellow ribbon to me.
Thanks safe travel to you all.

to tall Joan,  awww bless your sailor daughter heart, (she just want to row around in the grass)  remember when we were kids how great that felt to feel free rowing & rowing in the grass!  lol

Also, she's one of GOD humble child, she knows how to appreciate even the little things of life that GOD has sent our way to enjoy!

Hello fellow Navymoms, I read, but rarely post.  My daughter is coming off of the ship with no family to meet her.  It didn't work out for her cousin to be there & I can't afford the trip from california.  So sad.  Her birthday is tomorrow.  Good news is that she is flying home the following day and we will meet her at the airport with welcome home signs and big hugs.  We will celebrate her birthday, home coming & the holiday all three.  I can't wait.  I will check out the livestream.  Thanks for all of your posts especially Coach shiela and all of you spiritual uplifts.  God is great!

Hey-hey everybody!  Paula, pschip, navymom2, Coach Sheila, too tall Joan, Catsmom, dragon 7 and all of my Sisters to excited....thanks for all my sailor birthday wishes, the love with all your comments.

Well, I finally went to sleep almost 10 am this morning from yesterday, I was on a spiritual/naturally high from talking to my sailor on yesterday.  I've been awake for about couple hours now.  That's why you didn't see the morning prayer to jump start your day with positive energy and thoughts.

I'm so excited for those that are going and the ones staying behind such has myself, our spirits and prayers are with everyone, stay SAFE, prayed up and keep those prayers going up high to GOD and carrying him with you everyday!  GOD Bless, all of our Sailor's and their Families.  Peace & Love
