The FRG just sent out an email about an upcoming meeting, and with Ombudsman contact info.  Just checking that everyone received it  :)

No - A stands for Army, F is for Fleet. Ask the Ombudsman, they'll give you the correct address.
Yes, you'll get emails as needed, but it's also good to keep up with news on both the Ombudsman and FRG Facebook pages. You can also subscribe to them so you'll get a text on your cellphone when someone posts. Have you made Friend requests of them on FB yet?

Great news!  Wishing them both the best.  How great that it's spring and the weather is so nice for them right now.

I find it's fun and interesting to keep up with the local news and weather via the local Hampton Roads newspaper, the Virginia Pilot, based in Norfolk - http://pilotonline.com.  They devote a separate section to Military, too.

Here's a great video and story from the Orlando Sentinel.  The reporter arrives via helicopter, takes a tour and shows the ship coming into port.  Watching them man the rails got me - again!  ;)An inside look as the Iwo arrives in Ft Lauderdale for this year's ...

Good for you MNM! Fun to see what they do; plus it was so helpful when they were deployed last year.  Lynne, I grew up on Long Island (Manhasset), really miss going to the City on the LIRR  :)  They're going to have such a great time, hope Jamie can go!

Just a reminder that there is a Facebook page for the Iwo Jima Family Readiness Group - https://www.facebook.com/iwofrg  You need to send a Friend request along with your name, sponsor's name and rate/rank, and relationship.  Helps to keep you in the know both during deployments and at home: i.e., they held an FRG Easter Eggstravaganza last Saturday. Another example: info about mentoring/classes for spouses  :)
