Hi,
Feel kind of silly asking here for this. But My Son is so busy being new. I have asked him.
Looking for the mailing address for My Sailor.
The info about the USS Dunham was so helpful to read.
Have a good day. S.
Hi, Just received the phone call from My Son that told me he is now on the next step of this big adventure in his life. Having home for four days was so special and I got as many hugs as I could (never be enough). Glad to hear that he met up with a buddy from bootcamp already.
I am so proud. But stressed out with different worries. Oh well
Thank God for this site. I am always reading and learning so much.
Thank you. S.
Seems to be good now. Was a little tough at first, according to my DIL. A clean freak came home for a few wks. HaHaHa! That was not him....... Now they are looking at home to buy.
How is everyone doing? Has the transition back from deployment gone smoothly? My DIL says it's been a little rougher than she would like but things are settling down.
What is next: buying a house? college? if so which one? what do I want to do after Navy? He is calming down though. Funny about your son and car. So happy all has turned out well.
Bluemoon, what do you mean by having to tell your son to slow down, what kind of decisions is he worried about?
I had to laugh because I have always bugged my son about fixing his car like new tires his radio broke his care is so filthy from driving so many people back and forth to the base has cloth seats but is a fairly new Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I think he was back in Norfolk for 3 days and he had all new tires, new radio oil change car cleaned and ordered new seats...LOL I was like you did not have to do it all in one day!!! His new room mates have fairly clean jobs and I told him to change before getting in the car..LOL Like he will listen. He also went out and rented a house he is moving in with a good friend and he is married with twins a dog and a cat. My son loves kids and dogs and he and this guy had the cat before he got married so he is looking forward to it all.
Take care everyone!!!
bluemoon: We are still waiting for our Sailor to come home as well but we will be seeing him SOON and we can not wait! Will try to remember to post when he is home to let you know if he has to be told to slow down and enjoy his time at home........
My Mother's Day will be special 'cuz son and daughter-in-law will be here in NM. Can't wait to HUG. That's horrible, gazebo! Does he have any friends stationed in Norfolk now?
My son is having a great time camping, fishing, and visiting friends. He reports to Norfolk next week and has a problem with his car. While on deployment, he paid off his car that he bought when stationed in San Diego. The California MVA sent his title to the base in San Diego. They sent it back "return to sender". Now his tags are expired and he can't get it registered without the title. The MVA in California said it could take a month to get a new title. He needs his car next week to report to Norfolk!
