I'm sorry. I think the Ombudsmen has some sick kids the past couple of weeks. But if you give me your emails I may be able to email you the news letters when I get them. We have only had two newsletters the whole deployment. We haven't had an FRG meeting this month or last month either. But we did have a valentines party where we got roses from our husbands. It was pretty nice.

Hope you have better luck with the ombudsman!  I've emailed her 2x and she has been asked by me and another to put me on the list to receive the ship's newsletter and I have never gotten a reply nor a newsletter. My son put me on the list, as well.  Still no newsletter or info from the ombudsman.

Oh okay. Well, if you were here, I would have been more than happy to help you with whatever,, but its good to have family (: if you email the ombudsman see if she can have Noami Miller or giget Davies put you on the frgs mailing list do you can stay updated on what the ship is doing. Usually your husband had to put you on the list to get that info, but in your situation, it shouldn't be hard for them to do

I would love to be able to come to the FRG meetings, but I'm staying in Modesto (where we're from) to have our second child, and will be here until after they get back from deployment.  Just thought it would be too hard to move down there and be by myself, with a toddler and newborn!  It sucks, because I really enjoy helping with all the homecoming stuff.

Hey Everyone!

My name is Carrie, and my husband Andrew just joined the ship while it's out to sea.  We have a 2 year old daughter, and our son is due any day now.  We haven't had a deployment in 3 years from being on shore duty, so it's going to be difficult to get back into the swing of things!

I heard from my husband this morning and he says I should expect a call from him soon. The last place they stopped at was Africa, but they didn't get of the ship. Apparently there was an admiral there to do an inspection and he says that usslakechamplain lake champlain us the best ship on the home front and he is impressed with all of our sailors. But they are doing good from what I hear. (: we're very close to homecoming and I can't wait to have them home. Frg is going to start setting up homecoming stuff and plans this month.

Yea - I haven't gotten any updates on locations in a while either.  All mine says is that they'll be starting the long trek home soon.  I can't wait to actually speak to him!

I was just told about a female sailor on a destroyer that went overboard (and wasn't found).  Let's always remember to keep them ALL in our prayers!  My heart goes out to the family!!
