My son is on his way back to Japan - :(   It's been nice having him home for awhile, but it's always tough when they leave. Hope you all are doing well!

Mine is coming home in about 2 weeks - YEAH!  Can't wait!  After that, it sounds like it might be awhile before the next time.  Does anyone know if they are planning another "family day" event this year - and if so, when they usually have them?  If possible, I would like to plan my trip out there around that date.  Thanks!

Any moms in this group have a son with a birthday the last week of December who is a CS?

Heard from my son this weekend.  He was glad to be back in port.  He has to work on Christmas weekend but he's happy because he gets New year's weekend off and Dec. 31st is his 21st birthday : )

I saw on FB late last night that they got into port on Thurs. so I'm hoping to hear from him this weekend.

I did get an e-mail last night from my son - sounds like they've been doing some fun things on ship lately.  He said he's planning on being on Skype sometime this weekend, so maybe you'll hear from your sailor soon too.

OK - with the holidays coming I'm getting impatient to hear from my son.  I haven't heard from him since Oct. 22.  Anybody heard from their sailor?
