Hi Elizabeth,

I don't have a contact for the FRG but if you send me a friend invite I might be able to answer some of your questions.

Hello all! I am still trying to find contact info for the FRG. Can anybody help? Thanks

azsiaRAYA Thanks for responding. Since her husband and I are both in Arizona we can't attend FRG meetings. (not that we are sure what those are yet!) How can we be "in the loop" out of state?

So as far as deployment schedules that cannot be posted on the internet. The FRG is having a meeting detailing some important information. Also the FRG has a Facebook and I'm sure they will add you.

Hi All... my son is on the Makin Island and is ABH.  He is really enjoying his time on there and loving San Diego.  I was out there 2 weeks ago and love San Diego.

The Makin Island is an LHD8 and they have a webpage also a FB page -- that keeps you posted on their comings and goings and what is happening.

You might ask the main room. I haven't heard of this but if they need training for something specific then they will go where the training is.

Hi, My son is supposed to be on the USS America. But, left today on the USS Makin Island for an underway for 4 days. Is this a normal thing? They are supposed to be onloading (or something like that) on an island (I think). ??  I am just concerned that maybe the Navy is changing his ship.

Hi Cottonmom, I sent you a friend request, please accept so I can send you a message re: deployment. My son has been on the Makin Island since August.

Hi Christina!
