Does anyone have a son that is a rider on the Alaska to get their qualifications?
Mine is going to be a rider on another sub to get his qualifications, I was hoping he would be on land for a while. This is all new to me, and is going to be hard to get use too. I heard that emails are not as frequent on a Boomer is that right?
I'm sure you already got the answer and I messaged you but he will stay on base or go on a boat before they go up there and than get a place in Portsmouth VA!
And when it says that, does that mean he should plan to find a place to live in .....? Virginia Beach or Kingsbay?
Just got info this week, Sailor Son will be on Blue Crew for USS Maryland. Gotta a question... his duty orders say Kings Bay and Virginia Beach... Sub going in for repairs I take it?? Any one have any information ?
My husband and I are going to Jacksonville and planned on having dinner with my son he is at Kingsbay, but he called yesterday and is sick running fever and he has been told to stay in bed for the next few days. I wanted to know if I could drop off a package to him at the base gate. any info would be greatly appriciated.
Jenny...I do know that they are doing that, but not sure when. My daughter Emily would know more. She is Emily [USS Maryland Blue]
My son finished his quals & got his dolphins on Jan. 1 !!! He has only been on the boat a year now & it only took him 2 patrols to get them. I am so proud of him!!!
HEY! We're blue crew! I can't really talk about rotations, BUT Housing is ran by balfour beaty. http://nsbkingsbayhomes.com/defaultFamily.aspx?cid=48
