HiMy son Jon just joined the crew of the McCampbell three weeks ago. Haven't heard from him but I see by some of your comments that it's hard for them to get e mail/texts/etc. And probably to send…Continue

Is anyone still active on this forum. My daughter just left for Japan Wed, and is assigned to the McCampbell. If there are others out there let's get this thread active again, so we can make sure we know what's going on with our sailors!
How do I sign up for the USS McCampbells newsletter?
Thanks in advance!
My son just arrived in Japan this week and orders are for the USS McCampbell. This is the first time being overseas since he went in. Can anyone tell me how long it could be before our sailors can contact us? I see not much has posted on here in quite a while.
Corina, thanks for letting me know. I didn't know they had gone back out. I've been out of town and just got back today!. The google alerts are great, aren't they!
thanks leslie for letting me know about google alerts. They are out again as of yesterday just in case you didn't know.
Go to Google and enter google alerts and follow the instructions to sign up. When the McCampbell is mentioned it will alert you. Sometimes there are articles and/or pictures of the ship. It's pretty neat.
I don't get those google alerts, how do I sign up for that? My daughter has been feeling slightly overwhelmed. Although, I am sad to hear that everyone's sailor is feeling it as least I see she is not alone. She let me know right before they went out and I know they have been back and forth and last week was supposed to be the busiest with inspections but since then nothing.
Yes, my son called. He said they have been working extremely hard and are pretty exhuasted. Prayers for them all.
Yes, when he called last Thursday he hadn't slept in 2 days but sounded better Sat. night. They have been working super hard. Do you get the google alerts on their ship? That's how I knew they'd been out.
