HiMy son Jon just joined the crew of the McCampbell three weeks ago. Haven't heard from him but I see by some of your comments that it's hard for them to get e mail/texts/etc. And probably to send…Continue

Leslie, I got a short text on saturday. Has your son been crazy busy like my daughter has been?
I had a call from my son Sat.
Has anyone heard from their sailor?
Corina - I'll ask him about when I see him. That's is so neat that they talked. I'm counting the minutes until I see him. I've already been weepy the past couple of days just anticipating seeing his face. It's such a huge adjustment for them being so far from home. I know she'll be settled in soon. Wish I had as much confindence as these young people do! Amazing. Take care.
Leslie, my daughter called early this morning and your son told her that we have spoken through N4M. I am assuming it's you since your the only one who has responded since I mentioned we were the newbies. She has felt so welcome by everyone on the ship and I am grateful for that. She is missing home right now and they are all keeping her busy and I know it's helping her not think of home as much.
Welcome Corina. Glad your daughter is feeling comfortable on the ship. My son, Josh, has been there since December, 2010 and is finally coming home on leave on the 15th. Obviously, I am so excited I can hardly stand myself. He'll be here until the 28th. I wish your daughter well.
