I had a call from my son, Josh, in the middle of the night.  Sounds great and says they are doing fine.  So good to hear his voice as I hadn't talked to him since before this all happened.  I feel so much better now.

Hello ladies.  Hi Cherylann ~  Glad u are a part of NVM now too :-)  I haven't heard from Joseph in almost 2 weeks.  It stresses me out so much when I go this long without hearing anything.  I'm sure they are working hard and glad to hear that they may be getting their packages.  Missin my Sailor :-(

I had an email from my son, Josh, this morning and he said he thought they might be getting some mail today.  So, hopefully those of you who have mailed things to your kids, they will get packages today!  Josh said he needs socks of all things but he never had any two that matched his entire life.  I never figured that out when I did his laundry.  Kids!!!  Gotta love 'em.

Wecome Cherylann!  My son, Josh, has only been on the McCampbell since December.  He was thrilled to get orders for Japan and has been very happy there.   It would be interesting to know how many of all our kids know each other.  You just never know, even tho it's a big ship.

I am so excited to be connecting with other Navy moms.  We are definately a special group - we've done well to raise our children well to represent our country so proudly!  My son has been on the McCampbell for over a year.  His first ship was the USS Shiloh.  Jake will have been in 4 years in May.  Thank you mom for the quick replies!

I am new to the site and so thrilled to find others with children on the same ship!  Ihave met one mom on Facebook - Joseph's mom :-)  I am glad that we have such excellent children who are doing an incredible time during this difficult time in Japan.  Difficult doesn't even sum it up!  I am thrilled to have heard from my son twice and hope to hear more soon.  I am putting together a package now too.  Its also his birthday in 4 weeks!  Thank you for this site - feel like we are all connected!

Sent my Joseph a care package out 4 days ago.  The post office said he should get it within 5 to 7 days so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am so proud of our Sailors :-)
