I would love to see those pics.  How could we make that happen?

My son is on the USS Campbell.  I spoke with him on last Monday.  I have not heard anything else from him since.  Do anyone have an update.

Talked to my Joseph via facebook chat this morning.  Kept jumping offline as it always does when he's on the ship :-) but so glad to chat with him!!! He says they are all good and working hard and, of course, not to worry :-) I am so proud of our Sailors and so proud to be a McCampbell mom :-)

kit4wit - WELCOME.  Glad you're a part of the group.  My son, Josh, has been on the ship since late December.  He loves it and loves Japan.  He has emailed about 4 times since the disaster and is so happy he's in a position to help.  You obviously know what military life is all about.  We're happy you joined up with us.

Fox News network just showed the USS McCampbell.  Waiting to see if they repeat the story.  Someone called to tell me about it.

Jane, that's great.  I got the same thing from Josh this morning.  He was so glad to be able to help and, I had to laugh, he said now he's doing something the whole world knows about.  I think that was for my benefit and those lovely teenage years!  It's so good to hear from them and it certainly helps with that worrying we're all doing.

Cindy what does your daughter do on the ship and how long has she been there? I heard from my son lastnight and he says they are all fine. They have been working 18 hours a day and have been very busy but all is well.

This will be the opportunity of a life time for them to learn how to help others in need, if they are not particularly focused on others instead of themselves.  I am very impressed and touched by the generous responses of our sailors.  What a strange kind of blessing it is..

Bless Daniel's heart.  I know he's glad to be home but I know Mom is even happier to have him there.  I know you'll cherish every minute you have with him. Thanks for sharing the info about what's happening on the ship.  That gives me comfort.  Hug him for the rest of us and thank him for what he's done.
