Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

@ Donna, my son has been involved in some special "hunting" training, so I can understand your concern. I call him Rambo of the High Seas. But I'm not going to sleep well at all for the next several months. I found a video on yahoo of some of the guys on the Gettysburg doing the things that my son will be doing (and maybe yours, too), so if you want me to post the link so you can view it, I'd be glad to. It's in the public forum so it's not a security problem. It helped me to have a better understanding and not let my mind play tricks on me making things worse than they are. Not that the situation isn't worthy of concern, but I tend to overcompensate in that area and make it worse! Praying God's protection on each and every one of them on the ship and praying for His peace and strength for those back home!
Fair winds and following seas...be safe!
