Welcome, Cathilee!  The USS Normandy has an active FRG, if you are interested.  Email me at gapstopper57@yahoo.com and I will hook you up.  The USS Normandy is a fine ship-my son has been onboard for several years.  Unfortunately,, I am a short-timer, as he will probably come out this year.  I understand, with the budget cuts, they are finding it difficult to re-enlist, unless they are on a specific career path.  Have a great day!

Be blessed everyone this Holiday season. I know it is tuff. But may the Lord Holy Spirit comfort you.

Hi, my son says they didn't feel a thing on the ship.  I think a far bigger threat is Irene this weekend.

Also, does anyone have the ombudsman email address?  My daughter is on a different ship.  The emails offer more info, than I have found here.  Their son is with me when they are gone.

My son-in-law is on the Normandy.  I would like to find the snail mail address to send him a care package.  Any help?  Thanks

muddah/Sam-My son is being stationed in the Normandy next month. He just graduated from bootcamp last Friday...sooooooooo proud. It was a wonderful ceremony. We're finding out the information bit by bit.  When do they get deployed? Thanks for any comments! Hooyah!

My husband was recently stationed on this ship. I figured this would help us find our way.

My daughter was on the last deployment and is also currently on the Normandy.I just started helping with her taxes and found out that you actually go by their Home of Record. My daughter is stationed in Norfolk, but her home of record is NY, so I use that address and file NY state forms for her.  Hope this helps!

Does anyone currently have a loved o ne on the USS Normandy? I've noticed that all the comments on here seem to be from it's last deployment.
