My sailor is a little disappointed that this is happening before he gets there.

He sure is.  This deployment has some of the most exciting and historical port stops.  I hope he takes lots of pictures.

I have been keeping up with whatever social media gives up, the OA assisted in locating the regatta yacht Cheeki Rafiki that left Antigua headed for Southhampton when capsized. It was about 1000 miles off the coast of Cape Cod, sent a surface swimmer out to gather info. The 4 crew members of the yacht were considered lost, so sad for their families!

My daughter is a CS3 on OA right now, so I was looking to connect with some other Moms through this deployment. I think it is exciting that they will participate in the 70th Anniversary ceremonies of D Day at the beaches of Normandy, but I wish I could have spent at least a day with her before she left!

Hi friends!  In the very near future my sailor son will be joining this ship.  Just wanted to reach out and say HEY =)  He's still in Japan, then will be going to school.
