Hello, my husband is stationed on the ship and I will be moving to Hawaii in June. Didn't move before the deployment because I don't know anyone there and didn't want to be alone. We have two girls coming with us and I would love to find another Navy wife with kids so that my girls will have someone to play with.

Our son is on his way to the ship. Sunday ,he flew from Pensacola Fla to Hawaii. He call to say he had gotten there and was enjoying some local food already. Monday morining we find out he's now going to the ship. What a wild few days for him(and us).

I haven't heard from my daughter for about a week now.  Has anyone heard from anybody these last few days?  My daughter did say they were going on a mission and we would not hear from them for awhile.  So, I guess this is what she is talking about.  Hope and pray they are okay and return safely.

I hear from mine almost everyday but its become very staggered.I have heard they don't have the best internet right now so if your sailor isn't ALWAYS by a computer they may not get to one during an up and running time. No worries. They are safe :)

It gets everywhere. Its just a harmless prank I guess. I have my husbands whole shop conspiring against me. They say they have something worse than glitter coming my way

What is GLITTER for?

Comment by Mark's wife on February 22, 2011 at 11:25am
Mail takes about 2 weeks to get there. If they are underway sometimes they get mail and sometimes they have to wait until they pull into port again. If you want to know if they got something you are going to have to ask point blank. My sailor gets our mail all the time and fails to tell us :/ silly sailors. I have sent vacuum sealed jerky, candy, GLITTER!, coffee and cookies. From what I hear they enjoy getting cigars. Even if they don't smoke they will sell them to their buddies and load up their cash card.
