If you are serving overseas during tax filing season, you are automatically granted a 2-month tax extension ― with no paperwork required and no tax payments or penalties assessed. If you need more than two months to file your return, you can e-file IRS Form 4868 onlineusing the FileLater system and get an income tax extension until October.

I wonder if you ladies can answer a question for me.  I have asked my son if he has received a W-2 form and does he need me to prepare his tax return for him.  He said they will get an automatic extension to file.  Do any of you know what to do about this?  Thank you so much for your help.

Last year we went to the Nauticus Museum. It is a hands on kinda thing. I had 3 teenagers with me and they all enjoyed it. Nauticus.org
This time my daughter and I are going to Williamsburg and Yorktown.
We are dropping off my husband and son in NC and going on up the coast to wait for the ship.

My husband is going on the tiger cruise, but my parents, my other kids and I will be staying behind in Norfolk to wait for the ship to come in then. I guess we'll need to find things to do around town besides swimming at the hotel pool! Has anyone toured around Norfolk before?

Thank you Sperlonga, I didn't realize I had said anything wrong either.

Huh? Did someone say something that wasn't public info?

According to my husband, retired Navy, the relief and the ship they're relieving stay together in the arena for a few weeks before the relieved ship heads back. It takes a couple weeks for a ship to get over there.

Do we have any idea if the fleet is going to head home since according to CNN there is a new fleet headed out to relieve them?
