My husband is signed up to go on the tiger cruise! He is so excited! He served in the Navy from 1994-1998 and never stepped foot on a ship, so this will be a whole new experience for him. He was a cook for the Seabees and flew to his destinations (South Korea and Puerto Rico).

Welcome, Sara.  I don't know if I would have stayed sane without this group.  The support here is worth so much.

Just talked to my hubby and I heard plenty of laughter and joking around from other sailors in the background. They seem to be keeping good spirits onboard the ship. I was reassured they are safe out there. From my experience the ship is the safest place. I hope that can give everyone a little more comfort :)

Hello everyone! I am new to this site. My husband is serving on the Ponce. We have been military for 10 years now. My hunny and I have 2 beautiful children. I am a Navy vet and was proud to be in the Navy and proud to still be a part of it. I look forward to chatting with you all while we wait for our loved ones to return. And boy has it been a long time!

According to the President's update which I read Sunday,  he wasn't planning on sending ground troops in. Has that changed? He said they were going to attack from the water, not the ground forces.

Oh, I'm sure that's true. The ship is the safest place.

My son e-mailed that some of the men on the ship are a little nervous about possibly having to take action. I don't think it's the sailors, but the Marines. Let's pray for everyone on the Ponce that they will be protected.
