Hi Carrie:
I must be one of the Ramage mom's that lives the furthest from Norfolk! I know we get a 72 hour notice of the ship's homecoming and I'm wondering if I can make it in 3 days. I have a brother in Nashville that I could stay with and my favorite neice in High Point, NC, 4 hours from Norfolk. But I so appreciate your offer! I have asthma and my biggest concern is being arounds dogs and cats. Both my brother and my neice have dogs and cats, so I don't know what will happen!

Sorry to hear you're working 12 hour days! And going to school at the same time? Yep, you're right, crazy....lol :)

I don't have the energy to keep THAT busy! We're babysitting our 1 yr old great granddaughter while her single mom works full time and goes to school full time. Amya takes up most of my energy! I'm determined to clean out all the closets in this house and get rid of anything we no longer need (or can fit into)! I've got one more closet to clean out but hubby seems to be filling them as soon as I empty them! We have a four bedroom house and he's starting to spread all over it....lol

I'm been talking to Matt quite a bit and he emails 2 or 3 times a week. He sounds good. Said they lost some of their priviledges. I mailed his Christmas packages on the 5th and I'm waiting to hear when he receives them.

Everyone will be here for Christmas except Matt. My youngest daughter flys in on the 19th, and my oldest daughter and her two kids and the great grandbaby all live here in Tucson. Even with everyone else here, it won't be the same without Matt. He loves the holidays! But I guess I better get used to it now. I have a feeling we may have a few Christmas' without them....
I ordered the banner for Matt this summer. He hates to stand out, but with a name like Matt, he probably won't mind. No one will know which Matt the banner is for!!! lol

I will keep your offer in mind. And again, thanks so much for extending it. I hope you get caught up at work and can take some down time and enjoy the holidays!

Hi Carrie:
We have another Ramage family member on this site, Zak. Hope he decides to join us.
I'm doing okay. Thanksgiving was awful this year. I had the stomach flu. But I guess the good part was I didn't gain any weight and since none of the kids were here, I didn't cook! Hubby went to eat with friends.
California daughter will fly in Dec 19th for 10 days so I'm looking forward to Christmas. One is better than none!!!!
Matt sounds like he's doing good on the ship. He enjoyed being in port. Bought a laptop and iPod. He's happy to have some new toys. I got Matt's Christmas packages in the mail on Friday. Wasn't sure how much to send since space is limited....but I think he'll enjoy his gifts.
He said the deep fried turkey on Thanksgiving wasn't all that good. But he didn't think he was going to be very good before he tasted it!! Kids......
How are you doing? Are you all planning on attending the homecoming?? I'm really going to try and make it.

Hi Ramage Families!
Did you all get your Newsletter from the Ramage on Friday??? My son (Matt) was in 3 of the pictures. What a nice surprise. Couldn't have come at a better time. Matt's been calling about every week and emailing twice a week. He's still learning about ship life so I don't think he'll even start his Sonar job for a while. How's everyone doing and how was YOUR Thanksgiving without your sailor?
