I love the "Military Girl" so very true!

As far as the dates for packages and cards - those are in place for the adopt a sailor program for the USS Rodney Davis. The CMC is collecting everything addressed to him/ATTN: Any Sailor for distribution to the crew from the Navy Moms (wives, girlfriends) supporting the adoption effort.

If you have sailors on this ship - mail them often and as much as you can.
The Dec. 1 -8th dates are specifically for the Adoption program only.

NO karen,,don't go by me..I am going by the "Adpot a Sailor" dates....Cause on there the CMC wants all mail sent out 1-8th of Dec.

Can you send off a pkg before the Thanksgiving holiday for Christmas or does it have to be between Dec 1 - 8th?

Kathy, Great to have you..My son is an EN and his division works on all engines with the exception of the GAS TURBINE ENGINES, so this is so cool this whole group is very exciting. With the Davis being a frigate and only 250 guys on deck to find moms or girlfriends or wives, FAMILY of the Davis crew is such a treat.
Now the TREE....
Who will decorate it.
ideas....brainstorming...
One thing ...a BRIGHT star up top....to stay lite for our sailors to see.
Red white and blue lites are great.
I think an orament representing each sailor aboard would be a great thing and a personal touch....My brain is working.....
OH Kathy..
Check out Adopt a Sailor on the site.....
I am gonna mail my sailor package between the 1st and 8th of Dec. cause I believe there is a *true santa* aboard that ship....

Welcome Kathy!

That's a great idea Mary on the ornaments I was thinking about the same! Where would we mail them to?

I did end up finding some international calling cards at Walgreen's.
