That's tough Molly, you would think sheer determination and will power would earn him something! Have you reached out to one of our NCs - Tim might have some good suggestions for you.

I just met a sailor!!! In person! In uniform!!! It's not like there are alot of them running around my neighborhoood ya know! Went to vote and was heading back to my car and here come a good looking sailor in uniform (AT) that was home on leave from jacksonville NAS!!! It was so nice to talk with him - I referred from hugging him but I think his mom understood completely how I felt!

N4M did go live in February, I remember finding the site, my nephew went to boot camp on Jan. 8th and my sister and I spent hours on it - well before Nick ever left for bc. I kept trying to share info with him (what little information there was in THOSE days!!) Nick absolutely did not want to celebrate his 21st birthday in boot camp so arrange to leave just days later.

So if it works out for Tucker will go into the Navy on his birthday - be a gift to himself or will he wait a few days?

Looks like there will be some celebrating to do in February. Nick's birthday is the 22nd but he reported to boot camp on Feb 27th - he will marking his one year anniversary with the Navy! My birthday is the day after Heather's - always wished I was born on Leap Day then I would ONLY be... oh never mind!!!
Comment by Karen (KC's mom) on November 4, 2008 at 2:19am
Oh yeah Heather, I heard the guys had a good time today and on the project they had worked on yesterday painting. Yeah, KC was telling me about the Mexican Seafood they ate yesterday that I would have enjoyed and wherever they had lunch today too. While up in WA he took me to a Mexican Restaurant near base and I loved the food there!

Wow Rae Ellen your due around my son's birthday Feb 27th? My birthday is Feb 18th, KC's 27th, my older neice is on the 28th & Heather's is on the 28th too?? And then Heather is due on your birthday? WOW!

It's so great to be in touch with our loved ones via email or by phone other than snail mail. And I love your ramblings too Rae Ellen. I just dropped off note/letter #4 in the mail to KC and I've been calling them Mom's ramblings since that's all they are. I also have to send off KC's first pkg this week and start working on the next one. It's fun getting those packages ready to go now if they can receive them sooner than what it is going to take.

That would be great to have an online baby shower for our new moms-to-be Heather and Rae Ellen. And how does that work doing an online baby shower?

Best wishes to your hubby & I'm sure he'll do well Rae Ellen in becoming an officer. I'm glad to hear your able to communicate with him almost everyday. KC mentioned earlier while on the phone with him that he had talked with your husband. Not sure when they talked or saw each other last.

Hey girls....I love your rambling RAE....heathers tells me all about the texting ...hey we have it pretty good...e-mails to our sailors and texting and writing with people for support all over the country....
We did get to speak to our sailors over the weekend....and it was great.
I know my sailor sounded about more upbeat then he did last weekend.

they are all extremely tired...they are all adjusting to "deployment schedule" its exhausting...and moving through all different times zones....but time will all help them..
I sent my sailor a box last week, so I am curious to see how long before he gets it....It is fill with everything under the sun...And I know when he opens it he have huge smile on his face....there is a "homemade" note on top with all his families signatures on it including the dog....It made me sooooo happy to put this package together.. I am already working on the next one.
