For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

The Command Master Chief said there are 235 on board but with most deployments, a few more sailors usually join the crew so we ...rounded up by a few!

Hugs to you and DIL. Not an easy day, been there before and done that. You need to stay busy!!! Perhaps you should stop by the...ADopt a Sailor group and think about adopting some sailors...in November to help pass the time!!!

Safe Sail - Safe return of All our Sailors
Just a bit of info
ON the phone with my DIL
She was at the pier with my son and his ship this a.m.
They said there good-byes, as he walked away she watched him with seabag in tow walk- across the brow, one final turn around and one kiss...and then he disappeared.
Heather and I remained on the phone...
Provisions were being loaded
Flags were being flown
All the beeps and signals were being tested
And then the engines started {Thats my baby manning those engines}
{The whole time I am silent but tears were flowing}
heather said its raining here, a very depressing day..
Wait she says......There He is....he came up on deck blew a kiss......and then was gone.
Not much families their...
But as time grew closer more and more arrived.
The captain approached Heather and Said..."Don't worry Heather, He is is GREAT hands and all will be all right"
We talked she continued to tell me the sights and sounds.....
And then....she said...
here they come..
Manning the rails....
They raised the walkway...
And a few moments later...the ship began to move.....
OH those sailors all standing at attention...she said it is a site to see....
In all of 15 minutes.....the ship dissappeared into the sea...
Till the first port......
I love you girls........
