Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

 Hello everyone! so glad to see a group for uss rushmore! I have not been on since my daughter graduated in September of 2010.      My daughter joined the rushmore in October 2010 and really likes it alot.    So glad thier is a support group for our ship.

Hello Lois well its been almost more then a month that i gave birth to my son he was born august 11 2010. 7lbs 1oz. his name is Aiden :) i posted pics of him on my page. :) hope all is well for all you ladies. tc. and god bless. :)

It's good to see some are still active here. What is your favorite part about having your sailor stateside? Mine is a toss up between having his little girl with him (although this means I miss her terribly!), and being able to pick up the phone almost anytime and talk to him!

Deneen, my name is Westi. My son is an engineer, too, so maybe he will stay and work with the contractors, too. I am so excited for your daughter to get home to you! I just said good bye to my son. The time home is never long enough for me. My other Navy son is home until mid May, then finishes his time up with shore duty in Connecticut. Well, enjoy your visit with your beautiful daughter.
