Susan, deep frying turkeys sounds dangerous! My son Matt says it is the best tasting turkey. I've seen appliances that cook with infra red so you don't have to use any oil. I thought about getting one of those. Everyone have fun with their families! I'm enjoying being with mine. My brother called from Colorado and my sister called from Hartford, CT, one right after the other. It was sweet.

Happy Thanksgiving! I know what you mean Sally about a houseful filling up your heart. My son-in-law helps with that as well. He offered last night to leave his family's celebration early to help me set-up mine. Actually, he insisted in his Marine Corps voice so I know he will be here. My daughter will be here soon to help and everyone will be here at 4:00 pm. I am only having ten instead of fourteen because of Samara's birth. I don't participate in Black Friday either. However, my son-in-law's brother does and we live vicariously through him. He always has stories to tell. I wonder if our guys get turkey on the submarine. Well, I need to stop taking a break and get back to it. Again, Happy Thanksgiving!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING Girls!!!!! Colleen, Thanks for the advice on the SS digits. I trust her that he did ask her to do it, but didn't realize that she needed his SS. After my husband and I discussed it this morning, we are just going to ask her to give us the info on his cell, and my husband will put it on Deployment mode tomorrow. We had lots of friends and neighbors over last night deep frying their turkey's at our house. PLUS we have 2 turkey's to cook today one in the reg oven and one in an electric over for my Mom (Gluten Free). Soooo. we are very busy. No Black Friday for me either. To many other important things in our lives besides going into a frenzie madness at stores. Sally, 21 people WOW, what a house full of Love. Oh and Deborah, both Hillary and Chris did not go to your son's wedding, they just know them very well. Everyone, enjoy all your food and family today, and we will say our specials prayers for our son's and the crew.

Whew! Is Thanksgiving really tomorrow? All my plans for getting ready today were jettisoned (how do like that for a naval word) because my niece gave birth 3 weeks early!!! Sweet little Samara was born at 9:30 am PST, 6 lbs, 4 oz, 19.5 inches long. Mother and baby are doing great! And I still have many things to do tomorrow as I am having Thanksgiving at my house for the FIRST time. My daughter (who traveled 5 hours to get here today) is coming over tomorrow (from her in-laws) to help me get ready and do a lot of cooking. My parents still wanted to do the turkey so I don't have to do that. My son-in-law is in the Marines and stationed at Twentynine Palms and his 30th birthday is on Friday so we are celebrating that too. Susan, I haven't had time to look at all the wedding photos to see if there are photos of Chris and Hillary, but I promise when things calm down around here, I will look. Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

Susan, I definitely would not do it, especially without his permission. You can't be too careful now days. If it was something he wanted done, I'm sure he would have asked you all to do it for him or he would have given her the information himself. It doesn't sound right to me. We have three kids. Matt, 26 Aaron, then Jessica, who is 17. Matt is living with us for now.

HooRah!!! We just ordered from them a couple of weeks ago, and there Mashed Sweet Potato was absolutely awesome!!! I kept on tasting it to see what mine is missing. So I will try a few different flavors that I tasted & hopefully it will taste great.I think it's great that you are going for your Masters. That is true dedication. How many kids do you have? Soooo. I am in a bit of a dilema right now. Christopher mailed his social security card along with his birth certificate to us. His girlfriend asked for his last 4 digits to put his cell phone on a deployment mode. Apparently it freezes his billing? I am leary about giving out his digits since he entrusted us with it. I love his girlfriend, but he has clearly told us he is not deciding to make any commitments to her until he comes back from his deployment because he is very uncertain how he is going to feel about a committment until he comes back. I will say that she has been trying to get him to commit since the summer, but he just wasn't ready. Do I give her his 4 digits out without asking him?

Susan, I ordered food from Boston Market. Have you heard of them? Their chicken is delicious, so we'll see (or taste, I should say!) how the turkey is. Thanks, Sue. I think I can be entertaining! I have fun joking around with our kids. It is great when the whole family enjoys something they can do together. My mom loves football, especially college football. She is a Nebraska Cornhusker's fan. I'm more sedentary. I love to write. I love my school work (I'm in a Master's program). I'm a nerd and proud of it! :D I enjoy swimming, too, but I don't do much of that.

Colleen, you sound like someone that would be a lot of fun to be around and just make people laugh all the time. That's just Great!!!! Well, my whole family are huge football fans. My husband and I actually play in an innocent $5.00 football pool, and when Christopher is not out to sea, he helps me with my picks. Chris Loves every single sport there is and is a "Huge" Philadelphia Fan with Baseball,Football & Ice Hockey. Colleen, where did you order your food from? Is it a Thanksgiving Feast?

We are having a quiet holiday, as we usually do. I ordered food and I have a funny movie to watch. Does anyone remember Some Like It Hot? I remember laughing so much during that movie. I hope it is still just as funny now. We're not football fans, so there won't be any of that. It will be a relaxing day. Today it is sunny, but cold. It's been mild all week.

Great! I have photos up of the wedding but I am still not sure who can see what on my site so I set it so only friends can see it. If any one on this site (SS San Francisco) wants to be my friend, you can see them.
