Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by mamasan 4/809 on October 17, 2013 at 4:35pm: Hey gals! Trying to make arrangements for my two teenaged boys for the Tiger Cruise. Their flight will arrive the night before (11/7). I thought they'd be able to stay at the Gateway Lodge that night,but just found out that their brother has to be with them. Aargh... So, for those of you who are going...where are you going to be staying and can they possibly share a cab with you in the morning?

I was so much more relaxed when I thought they could stay on base...if I only knew when the ship was arriving...if its on the 7th, he could at least get them checked in and I could revert to the original plan.

Comment by spyder013 on October 16, 2013 at 9:49pm: I am not old...just well seasoned...lol! You should have gotten a form from your sailor but nothing dr has to fill out. Need to have current tetnus and I don't remember what ailments stop you from going. Contact the frg and get ready for big adventure. ..;). My main concern are all the ladders but we will be fine just slow. This will be my first one.
