FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Do you want me to tell her? Im more than happy to. She just sent another note and said if serious they would fly her to carrier and if they couldn't help they would get her to a land hospital. And you not to w....can you tell shes not a mom yet? Lol!

thank you SPYDER013...please let me know if your daughter gets any info.  does your daughter know who my daughter is?  does she know her last name?  I know that SARAH'S MOM 's daughter know her.

What a flipping mess for her. I emailed my dsughter and should hear back shortly. Unless shes off now anyhow! Hang in there:)

She had mono in 2010 for 3 months.  Can you get it again???  Would they quarantine her from everyone so there's not an outbreak...good grief, I hope so.

I dont think so....from care my daughter has received on the ship. If serious issues think they can move her to big ship for care.

I didn't think it was an actual "PHD".  But not 100% certain, I was just looking to see if anyone knew for sure.

She's been fevered, throwing up, sore throat for 8 days.  And after day 3 "doc" accused her of being pregnant, gave her MOTRIN, and sent her back to work.  She emailed me this morning that all of her gums are vibrant red and very swollen/inflamed, and she managed to take a shower and her hair was falling out in clumps.  She stated that she feels worse than she had and the "doc" told her that her tonsils looked swollen, and if she still has a sore throat in 5 days he can do a mono swab.

I am not sure. What is wrong? Surely, they have a doctor
