I also saw my son for a few moments on facebook today...still waiting for updates from the Ombudsman. They emailed me back and said I have been added but it hasn't kicked in yet.

WHAT AN EXCELLENT IDEA, I'm all for it!

Good job. I just responded and asked if they can send us out of state people a note with some of what they learn. I'm sure I didn't have to ask though....;)

I caught her on facebook first, and then went to my email. I only got to email her a few times. Not sure if the communication ban will go back into effect or not.

Awesome! And yes...hopefully ban is lifted! Thanks for letting us know.

I just got an email from my daughter. She said she purchased travel insurance on the plane ticket, so hopefully that will cover any changes.

I doubt the military will reimburse...try calling the airlines....they may work with you. We can still hope they're home on time but it's doubtful. Just keep praying for their safety and quick return.

Does anyone happen to know, that if your sailor already purchased a plane ticket home, and does not arrive in Washington on time due to deployment-will the military reimburse that sailor for the plane ticket purchase?
