Happy Labor Day All,
Below you will find a message from the ships Commanding Officer. Please remember OPSEC and keep our Sailor's safe.
Just want to update you that the crew is able to receive email but is unable to respond to them, or use the internet.
We remain at sea, continue to train and are doing well.
We’ve managed to find some time for “holiday routine” which allowed most people to sleep in, go to religious services (we have a fantastic chaplain onboard right now!), get some exercise and watch a movie. After a few days of very high winds which prevented people from going topside, the wind has decreased to a safe speed and many people are topside enjoying the sun and fresh air.
Six more Sailors earned their Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist qualifications today and there are many more about to achieve this important career milestone.
Overall, all is well onboard and the crew remains hard at work doing their individual and collective jobs.

If we should learn more about our schedule, I will let you know.
Happy Labor Day Weekend.

Sincerely,
Jill

so I have gotten a cryptic message from my son--anyone know what is going on? he said no emails out because of high security and he will see me again-in this life or next (gees!) Are they in the current mess, being prepped to go into the current mess or just on high alert?

I personally feel like I don't have enough xanax to get me thru this nightmare!!!
