Does anyone else have a son or daughter on board that is a fireman (I think that is what a DF are right?) My son has not written longer than usual and I was wondering what might be happening on the ship? He is probably super busy and it is just not on his mind to write to me but I can't help but worry when the time is longer than normal

is there an actual date of the homecoming? can someone tell me more about the plans? this is our first. also do our sailors get some time off (to come home?) soon after they return to WA or not necessarily?

We would use the female berthing. I believe we have somewhat of the same eating/work schedule but then again if its yer son then I imagine you would be with him most of the time other than showets and sleeping. I've never been though so don't really know. Have him ask one of his female friends to sponsor you

I've been told I would need one of the female sailors to sponsor me in order to go on the Tiger cruise. But, I don't know any female sailors so, I'm not sure how that would happen. Have any of you been on one of these? Where do we civilians sleep, bathe, eat, etc.? Just curious.

And I belive this one will be approximately 4 or 5 days long

It is a time when parents. ..siblings...kids over 8...grandparents. ..etc can go on ship with our sailors from one port to another. No spouses...boyfriends. ..girlfriends. ..etc are allowed. I've heard it is a fabulous experience so I am going IF it happens which it sounds like it will. We are supposed to be getting more information within next week or so.
