OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I am very new to this. My son was in Amsteram last week and now has been flown out to the USS Shoup...I have complete confidence in him and am happy for him. I just wanna know where in the world is he!

I have been a bit off the grid as well. My son's ankle is healed enough to rejoin the ship. So now I worry.

Hi everyone, I haven't been on here in quite some time. Feel a little detached as my daughter is still RSO, hoping for the all clear from medical in August when she has her check up. It's been hard for her being at base while the ship is out. Hope everyone is well!!!

I sure hope so. She could use some moral boosters for sure.

Yep...I heard the same thing. Hopefully it gets to them by Sarahs bday! Frustrating! But once it gets there....what a day that will be!

It's really up in the air atm about mail. From what we have been told is that basically last months mail was forwarded to the next port stop. They have received recent mail which is frustrating because all of the older stuff is just sitting somewhere. Yay for stale cookies!
