Sarah's mom - hopefully you hear soon! Do you guys Skype? Just remember the old saying... "No news is good news"! Frustrating though, when we hear so little. Maybe it's practice for when no communications are allowed? Then this website is going to be a mess....lol
Have a great day everyone!

I appreciate all of the information posted out here. This website is a Godsend to me, as my daughter has not contacted me lately. This is her first deployment, so I am nervous as well. I appreciate the support and the sharing. It helps keep me sane knowing that we are all going through the same thing=aka worrying and wondering about how our sailors are doing.
Thanks to all of our Navy moms and their sons and daughters.

I have to say that I am so happy to have a group to share the worry, concern as well as the pride at what amazing children we have raised. My son is also not a good communicator so I cherish all of the news you all share. The good and the bad. Thank you all for your support.

Sorry my phone has been misbehaving while I was coming back from MVP. Anyhow, I totally agree with all of you! WE need a place to feel safe and share our worries as well as the good stuff we can share. This is a first deployment for probably many of us so we need advice from those of you who have had previous experience;)! Thanks for understanding our fears.

Joirenee....we worry, we're Mom's, that part of the job description...it's just comforting to be part of a group that understands how we feel.... :)

Absolutely no problem! I suppose I am still new to this website and having my son actually on a Navy ship. I probably should not have said anything but I waited a couple of days and still felt the need to say something! I am glad you were not mad at me for expressing my thoughts. I was just so freaked. So I have to weigh the balance--would I mind getting scared occasionally but at least know something and stay on this site or do I want to be dumb to everything that is happening with my son's ship and thereby not get freaked sometimes?  The answers is ALWAYS that I would want to know even if it may be a rumor so let me apologize and I will toughen up knowing that, occasionally, because we are Moms and we worry, rumors will fly. And, like you, I would like to have a place where I can cast my fears and worries to fellow moms and know they will understand.  Keep the info coming girls!
