Spyder013-I have had contact with my sailor and I believe that I have all the go ahead to be on the tiger cruise (forwarded his email to the person in charge on the USS Shoup for the tiger cruise) so working on flight and motel right now. Thanks for any help your daughter gave.

Yup up here enjoying the sights in Everett and Seattle while we wait. Is anyone else now re-considering the tiger cruise? Assuming my son calls me in time I am planning to fly in the day before and stay near the base, like before. I would be happy to meet up with anyone in that area (providing I can walk to our gettogether-lol)

spyder013-you mentioned how good your daughter is at getting messages around--We have decided that I will still go on the tiger cruise but first we have to get my son to give me a call asap so that he can tell the ship I am going. Can you have your daughter tell my son to call asap (day or night immaterial) Knotts, David.  Thank you and I think I have to give your daughter something for all her communication efforts for everyone-lol

Thank you joirenee.   I am so ready for them to be back.  Hopefully we will hear soon their plans....

Both eating sites are acceptable to me however Anthony's does give everyone a chance to see how to get to the base a day ahead of time.

Comment by joirenee on November 7, 2013 at 6:24pm

Okay vote for Gastropub? 1 1/2 mile away from base or votes for Anthony's right on base?

Comment by joirenee on November 7, 2013 at 6:22pm

Sandid24-unfortunately (or I guess fortunately for some) my ex-Navy man says they have to stop at the tiger port first due to...the ship itself, I guess is all I say
