OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

When our sailors go underway, is there any way to communicate with them? Are they allowed to email?

Is the only way to contact your sailor while underway is through the Ombudsman? I am new to this. My daughter will be going.

Good morning! It sounds like there are several different dates floating around;-). Guess we just have to wait and see when they realy do go. Has Aaron been deployed before? Being new to this, don't know ins and outs yet. I just know I am proud of them all.

My son, Aaron, is planning on deployment in October.  Though, you know the Navy, it may not happen until later.

Your daughter is darling, I just checked both of your profiles and saw your cities. I spent a lot of time in your area, used to live in Escondido. Will possibly be overe there probably in April for a week or so, maybe we can meet. And Navymom 10 also;-).
