I cannot understand why the airlines are not more relaxed in changing flights for our military. You would think that since these men and women put their lives on the line for our country that the airlines would be a lot more flexible. I am so sad for our sailors, but do hope that they get some liberty time at their last port. Thank God they are at least in the USA.

huh?  they're not THERE yet? oh man...

My sailor said that they are traveling back to prior port slowly. When they start off again will depend on how long the repair takes. He did say that they all were really really happy to be in American waters again so that helps in their disappointment

I hope they get some liberty where they are.  Sounds like a day on solid ground will make their world a little brighter.

I am willing to give up "my" tiger cruise. ..sniff...sniff...just to get our sailors back to homeport safe and sound.
Really bites that some of the airlines aren't being very helpful on top of everything else.
But I mainly feel bad for our sailors. ..seems like this had not been a wonderful deployment for them and now they have to wait some more.
But I stress...getting them home safely is major focus point so we need to keep their spirits up:)!

The last we heard was the Tiger Cruse was put on hold indefinitely.  Not sure if the arrival date back to home port will change.  Hopefully not, depends on how long the repairs take.     I hate it for the Sailors, I know they are ready to come back.   Changing plans has not been an easy task- Delta wasnt very understanding the last time we had to make the change.  I can imagine how this change will go over. LOL...  Disappointed as is everyone else, just gotta keep thinking there is a reason for the delay and keep our heads up...

Awe....it's so heart breaking, when all these families had travel plans and their hearts set on seeing their sailor...so disappointing. Does anyone know how long this "delay" will be?

Comment by joirenee on November 5, 2013 at 5:21pm

I am okay with everything but Alaskan Air is so hard to work with-yes we did not get refundable tickets-planned for a possibly delay not a probable cancellation-lol. The hotel did stop our reservation though and that is good. Now just sitting here in Everett waiting waiting waiting
