Hi Spruance families!  My son just finished his A School in Great Lakes and just received his orders, he will be heading to San Diego and on to the USS Spruance as a QM.  He (and we) are very excited!  This site really helped me through bootcamp and I am hoping to find friendships and support through this stage of my Navy Mom life also.  I am brand new to all this, first bc then school and now his orders and deployment.  Thanks and it is nice to meet you all!

We hadn't gotten our tickets yet but they said they'd go out by 9/15 --- looking forward to seeing our son --- talked to him when they were in Yorktown, VA - only there for a day I think -- says its so beautiful at night on the sea.  Can't wait to see him ----- see you all --- we'll be easy to identify with the big SMILES on our faces.

hello- i finally got a phone number for the townhomes in key west-

305-293-5000. my son did not give them my email address, so they had no way to confirm with me. hope this helps anyone with reservations.

We wound up getting a hotel room --- my son said that there was a deadline & if you didn't make it - you didn't have a spot.  So we played it safe.  Never heard anything on the codo.
