Hi all,

I am new to this site. My son is on this ship. I did get to talk with him a couple of days ago, He says he likes it so far. I am adjusting to him being out in the middle of God only knows where! But  I believe and know he will be just fine. Hoping to connect with others for support.

Good Morning! Welcome to Stethem. There are a few of us who have connected. But not real active. You can PM me and we can talk more.

Hi thanks phoebe. I just decided to see if there was group with his ship. Glad to see there is. I also joined the group for Japan moms. I hadn't been to this sight since my son graduated from boot camp. I feel somewhat better, then again...I don't know..reality hasn't set in that he is out of the country and actually on a ship where I have no idea! But at least he called me a few days ago. He sound good and said he liked it so far. Said is HOT!! Thanks for responding!!!

Hi there!!! My son is on the ship as well! I got to chat online with FB chat. Yes, it is very hot there 105 yesterday! From what I gather they will be on the move shortly and pulling into another port in a couple of weeks. If you would like to chat more or email feel free to send me a message and I'll give you my email address. I only know of a couple of moms with kids on the ship but it is great to keep in touch. Makes it seem like they are not so alone so far from home!! (-:

Hello Ladies, my son is leaving next Tuesday morning to join the ship and a friend told me about this site and how it could help me, too! Anything I need to know that will help?

My son will be joining this ship in December. I'm still trying to adjust to the whole Japan thing. :(
