Hi Navy moms! Heard from my son a week ago but he hasn't responded to my last emails. There are times when he doesn't get my emails and I'm not sure if systems are down or what. His girlfriend hasn't heard from him either. When he was in the last port we were able to talk via Voxer...a great app., if you don't already have it! It's like a walkie talkie! My son said he is good, just tired. He works long hours and is studying for a test after working. I pray that he is happy, healthy and safe and that prayer goes for all the Sailors on the Stockdale! Summer will go by to fast and we will have their homecoming to look forward to! Hope you are all doing well!

I am glad to see we are all here and communicating! The closer we get to the end of deployment, the more anxious we are. I hope all your sailors are well and staying strong! I write my son all the time of words of encouragement! It is a long time to be away from family and loved ones, and I am sure they struggle sometimes in there days. I really would like to do the cruise, but I am confussed about how many people can they hold? sleeping arrangements? I am sure there has to be some sort of reservation ahead of time. I am sure we will get all this information the closer it comes. Hope you all are having a good summer! Saying prayers for all the stockdale!

This is my understanding of a tiger cruise.... If u have different info
Please correct me....when the ship is scheduled to come home they
May come by way of Hawaii. Family members ( no spouses or girlfriends
Though) may meet the ship in Hawaii and cruise back on the ship to
San Diego. I believe only three family members can come.

Could somebody let me know what a 'tiger cruise' is? I'm new to this and haven't heard the expression before. ...

Hi! How is everyone doing? How are your sailors? Did anyone get a call on Father's Day? Last we heard from our son was the end of may. Anyone have any new info on the tiger cruise and the process to be on it? Praying for everyone on the Stockdale.

Hi Annie!  I never got any of the June messages until today.  Weird.  I've been busy with work and helping my Mom from 1,200 miles away.  Looks like I'm going to see her in Aug. to help her through some tough stuff.  Hope everyone is doing well.

ok, thank you! My son just told me that they might be having one. I would really like to do it if they do!

Annie...the Stockdale having a tiger cruise is not a for sure thing...

I have my daughter on the Stockdale and my son in law on the Nimitz...so she told me if I want to do it...to go on the Nimitz

I am seeking information on the tiger cruise at the end of deployment, can anybody help me with this? or should I contact the ombudsman? I am trying to plan a vacation around this! Thanks. Hope all Stockdale mom's are doing well.
