Using the second link on this page, you can request access to the secure family web site. They'll ask for your info to very it and then there is a ton of info on there. They're been great about updating the photos! Under announcements there is info about the wristbands and t-shirts. Everything can be shipped, too! The address of the ship is also on there, and they have the one listed 6164. Everything else is the same- just the last four digits are now 1309.

We're doing good given the crazy weather! Just some thunderstorms where we are, but in Joplin it's devastating. I'm hoping to get down there in June, they're having a community cleanup day. Hope you're doing well!!

Oh also... apparently the address on the website is a little bit off. If you've already sent things they should still receive them but, I've been told that the last four digits are 1309 and NOT 6164.

I think some people already knew this, but I was just going off the website- have a great day everyone!

Thanks for the info on the FPO address!  Cindy22, where do you live in California?

I added some pictures from Wedsnesday to "my photos".  Feel free to take a look.  My son is Charles Janssen.  Ellen, I'm afraid I don't know what a rate is so I can't tell you.  He works with the weapons people. He's been in the Navy less than a year, and he really likes the crew of the Truxtun.

I put it under the City and AE went under the State. That's where the guy at the post office told me to do it.

The postman I spoke to said just fill in the address as it fits. But under city would work I bet.

Thanks for posting the pictures! I was able to pick out a few people I know. I'm honestly so glad I wasn't there to say goodbye though, we've said about four difficult goodbyes this year, and after seeing my friends pictures I don't think I could have stood to go through it again! My husband is FC3 Morris. Feel free to share your member's name/rate, as I bet we'd all recognize some names from hearing them talk about other people. Has everyone been able to sign up on the family website already?

Does anyone know where to put the FPO AE part of the address on the customs form that we have to attach to boxes sent?  Not sure if it should be under City?

Hi DebBon!  I just left a comment on your page!  My son has been in the Navy for a year.  We are all wondering how he will do out at sea for so long!  He did not get the job that he was promised, but he has adjusted and really enjoys the crew on the Truxtun.  My husband flew out for the family cruise and said that most of the crew was incredibly friendly!

Rebecca,  my son's first deployment too. I wasn't able to make it either but better believe I am going to be there when they come back.  So what is your son's job?  Mine is an Engineman.  He just completed A school and was shipped out right away.  They said he will do C school when he gets back from his deployment.  Guess they figured he was ready.  How long has your son been in the Navy?
