How's everyone been doing? I'm looking forward to the end of this underway. Anyone have big plans for Thanksgiving?

I loved the Great Steak Steakhouse on Military Hyway. But my favorite was the
Ghengis Khan Mongolian Bar B Q by JANAF Mall.
And you cant go wrong with a burger from Fudruckers.

Well, it seems that we will be moving to Norfolk befor the year is over!!!! Still don't know where yet. . . . Looked at a lot of places on the internet but I am going to have to come and physically look at some. I would like to be near a good elementary school for my children. Suggestions.....?

Sorry just realized that wasn't too specific, my faves down there are Colley Cantina, Kelly's and San Antonio Sam's. Skinny Dip just opened on Colley too, and Donut Dinette is fun for breakfast.

Oh man, in Ghent you can't go wrong! Anything on Colley is good and there a ton of pizza places down that way too. The Groupon has been featuring some restaurants down there recently, definitely sign up for those emails if you don't get them already! We live right near Ghent actually, and are hoping to move further into it at the end of 2011. Oh and Five Guys just opened too, not too original but still good!

My wife and I just returned from Norfolk after moving my Daughter in Law down there. We spent a few days getting her all settled and took the time to drive around and see the old places we lived while I was stationed down there myself. VA Beach has sure changed. Especially the Pembrook and Independence area's. Some of my favorite Restaurants are still there and have not changed a bit.

Ellen- Thanks for the info and the offer! I will have to look at that site. I'm not sure if I have looked at that site already or not. We were hoping to find a house in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Hampton.....but if we find something we like anywere else we are all for it.
